Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work

During the first few months of 2010, I helped Project Runway‘s Tim Gunn write his book Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work. Our operating framework was a trusted teacher’s office hours. Tim tried to think of what he’d tell students who came to him for advice on how to get along in the world. Short answer: Take the high road. Tim is kindness and generosity personified, and every time I went to his apartment while we were working on the book, he baked me cookies. So it would have been the best gig of my life even if this hadn’t happened:
